From March 9-11, 2018, high school and university delegates are invited to participate in a Model UN conference held entirely at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. The Future We Want Model United Nations (FWWMUN) will bring together 1,500 students from around the world to discuss topics relevant to international peace and security. Best Delegate is excited to announce that as the conference partner, we will be co-sponsoring the conference, administering scholarships to cover the fees for the first 1,500 participants, and providing financial aid to cover the cost of housing for many of the participants coming from outside of the New York City area.
Delegates will have the opportunity to debate in the UN General Assembly Hall, Economic and Social Council Chamber, and other official meeting places throughout the weekend, giving them the opportunity to work together and debate issues chosen directly from the UN agenda. FWWMUN will bring together expert speakers from the United Nations, foreign officials, and various non-governmental organizations to provide students with an in-depth view of international politics. Finally, FWWMUN will be submitting all resolutions to the United Nations Secretariat following the conclusion of the conference. Your ideas could impact UN programs and resolutions!
In order to ensure everyone has an opportunity to experience FWWMUN, a scholarship will be provided to cover school and delegate fees for the first 1,500 delegates. Financial aid to fully or partially cover hotel accommodations in New York is also available on an application basis.
We believe this conference will provide a unique opportunity for students to experience the United Nations for a full conference, impact international debate, and explore New York City.
