Hello Everyone,
My name is Amelia Kenna and it is my greatest privilege to serve as the Best Delegate Chair for the Middle East and Levant region.
At the moment, I am completing my final year of high school in Amman, Jordan. My MUN career began in my ninth grade year here in Jordan. Although my school’s MUN program was small, I had the privilege of attending two THIMUN conferences, both of which provided me with an excellent foundation in public speaking and debate. From there, I continued to attend various MUN conferences within the Middle East. My goal is to promote greater collaboration between different Middle Eastern MUN programs.
After attending several conferences across various countries, I decided that I wanted to make the learning experiences of MUN more accessible to people of different backgrounds. I noticed that so many of my peers weren’t exposed to the same depth of the MUN world that I was, either because their schools lacked such programs or because the simply didn’t have the time to go to conferences. Having had so many different opportunities to participate in such conferences, I believed that it was time to give others the chance to do the same. Because of this, I began working with THIMUN’s online associate, OMUN, and Best Delegate, with the intent of sharing the world of MUN with as many people as possible.
I am committed to the mission of Best Delegate because I believe it is doing something unique for tomorrow’s leaders. Best Delegate provides incomparable MUN training to students and adults across the world. The world of Model United Nations has incredible power in today’s society. I cannot properly convey how much of an impact my experiences with MUN have had on my understanding of the world.
